Cater-Aid Event Services is a full service catering and event planning company.

With more than 25 years in the Hospitality industry, we’re experienced in all of the elements that go into making EVERY event a success. We’ve also learned over the years how difficult it can be to be an event host!

Too often, event hosts have to put way too much effort into finding their vendors - comparing prices, attending tastings and previews, worrying about reliability and quality, juggling multiple deposits and invoices. And that’s only if you already know what you want!

Enter Cater-Aid Event Services.

Through our extensive network of Trusted Vendors, we can find the perfect suppliers for your event’s needs. And when we say Trusted, we mean it – we know the services and the people behind them. Let us handle all the vendors from start to finish, from consultation to your final integrated invoice – that’s right, you only sign one contract and receive one invoice!

Some event planners might operate in a similar fashion, but none of them do it at no cost to you. That’s right, you won’t find a charge on your bill for our services. We have built strong relationships with our Trusted Vendors, and as a result have the kind of buying power that guarantees that you won’t get it cheaper.

David Pyper, Executive Chef graduated from George Brown Culinary School in 2001 and went on to earn his Red Seal Certification in 2004.

Chef David honed his skills in the 5 Diamond Langdon Hall boutique hotels and at Chef Mark McEwen’s Bymark and North 44 restaurants. Under Chef McEwen’s tutelage, Chef David had the opportunity to cater many of Toronto’s finest events.

This high-end catering experience inspired Chef David to make the move to work as a private chef and caterer for many of the GTA elite, including the McCain family and members of the Toronto Maple Leafs.


Sean Norman, Owner/Operator,
began his career in the food and beverage industry in 1992 as a co-op student at the then Ramada Hotel Airport West. He honed his skills working there in all their Food and Beverage departments over a 13 year span. This included working in the banquets department and supervising the Chardonnay Grill and Lounge restaurant.

Sean then went on to open an Italian bistro in Campbelville Ontario as a General Manager for a local prominent family.

Since then Sean has worked at various properties under the HIP Restaurants umbrella in Mississauga. He received his formal training at one Canada’s finest Food and Beverage schools in Toronto.

Sean was subsequently handpicked by the hotel management to attend the Fairmont Hotel's Management Training Program.

Sean passionately opened Cater-Aid Event Services in 2009 and along with Chef David, is very excited for what the future holds.
